This week’s selection has been curated by Abigail Bergstrom, an entrepreneurial leader and an expert in the world of publishing. She recently launched her own publishing consultancy, Bergstrom Studio, as well as her debut novel, ‘What A Shame’, tipped to be the hit book of 2022.
Having worked in the publishing industry for the last decade, Abigail has edited and represented countless bestsellers and worked with some of the industry’s most prominent voices. Not to mention, been published in the likes of ELLE, Sunday Times Style, The Telegraph and Refinery29.

“Jolene in London holds a special place in my heart and is even featured in my debut novel, 'What a Shame,' with its small plates, blackboard menus and industrial-chic interior. There's a romantic and imaginative atmosphere in this spacious bakery by day that emerges as a candle-lit restaurant by night. The menu is ever-changing but expect rich pasta dishes and start with a negroni.”

“Little Tree Books in Athens is a gorgeous little bookstore and coffeehouse that's tucked away, you can peruse the shelves and sit outside in the sunshine drinking fresh lemonade whilst working on your laptop under the shade of the trees. It's a great little spot to escape from the city and get some work done.”

“For a restful sanctuary away from the world, and as a treat, I'd recommend the inimitable Heckfield Place which is a magical place with its endless meadows, open-flame fireplaces and restaurants with seasonal produce which is all grown on the land surrounding the Georgian House. Try their spin on a bloody mary - it's exceptional! It's either that or a weekend in Devon in my parents caravan alone, to take a break from the world and be in nature and solitude.”

“VooStore in Berlin is a stunning concept store in the cool Kreuzberg district and takes inspiration from other concept stores like Opening Ceremony in New York and Storm in Copenhagen. Set in a redeveloped locksmiths it has a bookstore and cafe attached and is stocked with anything from high fashion marvels to stationary delights. Creative director, Herbert Hoffmann, defined his selection criteria as ‘a representation of our life choices more than an invitation to consumerism.’”
